“Dawshom Awbotaar” is a prequel to two of Srijit’s previous hits, “Baishe Srabon” and “Vinci Da”, and brings together the two main characters, both cops, from the two films – Prabir Roy Chowdhury, played by Prosenjit Chatterjee in “Baishe Srabon”; and Bijoy Poddar, played by Anirban Bhattacharya, in “Vinci Da”. This unexpected alliance between the two characters hints at the complexity of the case and promises dynamic on-screen chemistry between the actors. Jisshu Sengupta and Jaya Ahsan are new faces in this cop universe, playing leads alongside Prosenjit and Anirban.
